on the water of the cordillera
Why stewardship matters as much as purity.

Water is the largest component in many emulsions and often the least discussed. Our source emerges from volcanic rock above the main cultivation line, naturally filtered before it reaches the cooperative's protected collection point.
Purity is tested, but access is governed locally. The spring also serves households and small farms, so cosmetic production can never take priority over community need. Seasonal limits are agreed before each production calendar is set.
“Clean water is not simply found. It is kept clean by people who choose to care for it.”
We pay the cooperative both for the water and for stewardship work around the watershed. The second payment supports monitoring, path repair and replanting. Sourcing well means recognising that an ingredient remains valuable because someone continues to protect the system around it.
